Being able to accurately cast with a fly rod is one of the most important skills for a fly fisherman. It’s also not nearly as hard as people might have you believe. Come learn the basics of how the fly rod works, develop a good roll cast for those tight situations often found on North Carolina streams and learn to accurately deliver your fly where you think it needs to go.

For the more experienced casters, we will cover more advanced casting techniques including different kinds of casts and how to be more accurate in presenting your fly to the fish.

At Frank Liske Park we will have available both grass and water for instruction and practice.

Directions: Enter park off Stough Road, after crossing railroad tracks take the first left. Then keep right and there will be parking at the end of the road.
